It’s official, 2016 is over.
First 2017 blog post! Yaaaayyy!
What did you guys (people who deserted in this blog page) do on the new year’s eve? I did a wonderful thing that I’ve been longing to do for a long time.
I slept early.
It was awesome.
Politically speaking, let’s hope 2017 won’t be an epilogue of 2016.
I’d like to share few things that I found to kick-off 2017 with a better mindset personally. First, a poem by Maulana Jalalludin Rumi. For me, this poem just gets to the heart of mindful living in the most eloquent and beautiful way.
The Guest House.
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
